The team at Spyglass work hard to deliver not only great service in delivery but also in the planning stages. We have always included Spyglass at the beginning of the project to gather their input and challenge the norms. We thoroughly enjoy working with a team that is so committed to a high standard of delivery and a great team to integrate into ours.

The Brief

Spyglass was engaged to provide vision, audio and content solutions for the Deloitte Top 200 Awards Dinner to over 1000 guests at Spark Arena, Auckland.

Solution

After initial meetings with the client, we decided to flip all of our content screens into portrait for this year. We felt this move away from panoramic widescreens was something different and the height of the grid at Spark Arena meant we were able to utilise a number of large screens we have in stock. Out wide we positioned our 12m x 4.96m screens that gave an imposing look being so tall. Inside of those we used two 8m x 4.5m surfaces, follwed by a 6.5m x 3.6m centre screen.

The screen set was also complimented by five custom-made LED cubes situated at different heights on stage measuring 2m x 2m. The cubes are individually DMX’d meaning any colour can be run through them to match the on-screen content.

Content was created in-house at Spyglass and was produced in-line with the specific show requirements and design.

Audio was delivered via four hangs of our D&B J Series line array.

Outcome

The outcome was a very impressive looking awards dinner that had real impact and wow factor for the guests in the room.
